My hair got very damaged this past year due to an issue with the water softener on the well and an over abundance of copper and other metals. Saw a random video about this product and decided to try it out, assuming it really wasn’t gong to do anything because my hair was so damaged and dry. It felt like straw, literally, and was breaking off in spots. I had cut off quite a bit of the length and added layers to try to take out the damaged sections. I tried several detoxing shampoos going forward to prevent more damage with no effect other than some drying my hair out more. Even with the water softener fixed, the metal is still very high. Bought K18 and it’s been amazing. I can use it every day if I want. I lather it and let it sit for a few minutes while I shower and then rinse out and condition. It does not dry my hair out at all. My hair feels softer than it has the entire year. The shine has come back. I’m incredibly thankful for this product. I don’t write very many reviews, but I thought this might be helpful to those going through the same thing.

So I’ve been a user of k18 products for a few months and decided to get this one during the prime day event and love it. It is definitely worth the money. I’ve used the L’Oréal refine cleanser, ouai clarify shampoo, the clarifying scrub from Briogeo and this is my favorite clarifier so far for my long blonde highlighter hair. It takes out the impurities without stripping my scalp and making it too dry it too oily. I use this before I then use the k18 moisture shampoo and it’s the perfect combo for dry, oily or normal hair. It will give you a good clean without a strong scent.

I usually use scalp scrubs, but this is my first clarifying shampoo, it did the job of cleaning my hair very well. I bought it to use the K18 treatment. So I didn’t use conditioner or mask after. It did make my hair dry but also my hair still have a bit of dryness on the ends from highlights I did a year ago. However after using the mask my hair was good to use, so I guess I will just use this shampoo when am using the K18 treatment mask. Lately I usually have a bit of oily roots after the day I shower as I do make scalp oiling and hair and feel that other shampoos don’t really get rid of all of the oil, so I feel this shampoo is good to use after oiling hair as it really gets all of the oils out. I have a long and very very thick hair and usually my hair takes long to dry but when I used this my hair dryer very fast. I think this shampoo should be used maybe maximum twice or once a month, as it really does what it say it cleans your hair from everything, and it’s a good thing to use before K18 treatment mask. It’s considered affordable for me the bottle would last me for months personally as I would use it twice a month, I think people who have oily scalp should definitely use it more as usually the second day after I put oil on my hair, my roots are oily, but after I used this one it’s not oily at all.

It‘s expensive, but worth it. You only need a little to get a good lather going, and I‘m super stingy. If you use K18, this is a definite buy. If you don‘t, this is still an excellent clarifying shampoo.

Pretty impressed with it. Nice smell and doesn’t feel heavy when using it. I use it once a week.
